At Home Gel Nails (with NO UV Light)

One of the things I have seen on Pinterest lately is this at home gel nails. I am in love with gel nails, i got them for prom and they actually did last two week for me. And let me tell you, my nails chip about 4 hours after i paint them! They are so bad to me, but this gel stuff actually worked. So I researched (i over use this word) how to do this at home gel nails and it sounded pretty easy. Oh here is the link to the pin I found, Gel Nails at Home.

I looked on there home page and found where they sold this product "Nutra Nail" and where I discovered that they stores who actually do carry it were slim compaired to what they say on their websites. Target, CVS = no by the way. Walmart had the cheapest, it was 9.$$ (ill use that when i don't know the exact price). So I bought it along with a color that I wanted to try on my nails because with this gel process you dont have a limited supply of colors :)

So lets try this and see if it works!

This is the nail polish remover I use, it is really really good. Like the stuff they use in the nail salon, and its pretty cheap!

Okay so the boxed one is the one that will be used, so pull that one out!

These are the nail polishes I will use :) Here are the directions from pinterest that I will follow.

1. Apply 1 thin (but enough for coverage) coat of 5 Minute Gel Polish.
2. Apply Base Coat (1 coat of 3 way glaze). <-- NYC for me
3. Apply 2 coats of colored polish.
4. Finish with a coat of 3 way glaze. <-- NYC

The gel activator stuff feels like nail glue, i hope it works!

Here is the finished product!
I'll keep posting on how long it last :)

Daily Vitamins

Every day I make it a priority to take my vitamins that help keep the fresh, healthy skin/hair/nails that I love. I have weird health problems which I will get into later, but taking these really help me stay healthy. This is what I take every night before I go to bed.

Vitamin A ~ Helps the immune system function properly, resulting in healthier nails and hair.

Biotin ~ Which is known as the "hair" vitamin. This is a great vitamin that I take, it promotes hair growth and stronger nails.

Vitamin C ~ Aids the scalp by preventing free radical oxidation of fair follicles and hair loss, so when you don't have enough of this, then your hair becomes more brittle (breakage, oh no!) and the scalp weakens and then your hair falls out.

Vitamin D ~ Is for bone health, which helps your nails out a lot. (And all of your other bones), this works with calcium to help strengthen your nails. So make sure you have a good supplement of that too!
------- I am writing this realizing I don't have a calcium vitamin. I am going to look into that after i finish writing this!

These are what I take along with my other 2 medicines that I can write about later if you want to know (its for my tummy). I suggest taking these if you don't already, I have noticed a big improvment in my skin, hair and nails! I would be in school and so much of my hair would fall out when I played with it. The thing that scared me the most was my eyelashes. They were falling out left and right and I couldn't stop it. Then my nails were breaking and were sooooo extremely thin. So I talked to my best friend's dad who is a pharmacist and he suggested these to me. Leave me questions if you have them!

Here I Am

So today I will start blogging about all of the things I do that I find on Pinterest, or the ideas I come up with myself or from my friends. I want you to leave me stuff to do too, because its summer I have so much time on my hands, I cant wait to do things to show you if they really work, how to do things in the most simplest ways. I am a beauty fanatic, so lets get started!
